“Return and Earn” is a NSW government program for recycling and reusing called “deposit scheme” which is reportedly targeting 40% reductions by 2020 from recycling.
According to the research report, 80% of materials can be reused and recycled.
This video also explains how the recycling program is working and how we able to use the recycling machines. It says a recycling machine can run up to 500 containers continuously.
Some criteria to be followed by recycling a glass bottle or plastic aluminium can or litter cardboard. The glass bottles go to left green side and make them new bottles.
All other materials go to the blue side. Plastic can be chapped or melted and reproduced as a new product such as jacket or plastic bags etc. It added that aluminium is 100% recyclable and recreated as new cans and electronics.
Steel materials cupboards, fridges and cars. Returning the used materials you can earn 10c per item through digital refund. A message of “10c” is printed on all those materials can be recycled and reproduced.
